Field Experience
As part of the PK-5 certification at Miami University, there are three field experiences that you complete.

Preschool Observation
I was placed in a Head Start classroom at Hollingsworth East Elementary. It was an enriching experience to learn about how school and Head Start policy overlapped and also where they challenged one another and how that directly impacted students such as EL learners and their access to translation resources.

Professional Experience
Capstone Partnership
For my senior capstone course, ART 493: Professional Partnerships, I partnered with the Oxford Senior center and Hollingsworth East Elementary in Eaton, Ohio to facilitate a multigenerational, collaborative picture book project between seniors and preschoolers.

Marshall High School Tutor
One semester experience as a weekly tutor at an alternative high school in Hamilton, Ohio
